Rochdale Pétanque hosted the second round of the Pétanque England Euro Cup Challenge today, with Rochdale Milton taking on Trafford A.
Milton made an excellent start, winning both triple matches to put themselves in a strong position. The match then went down to a dramatic winner-takes-all scenario, with three doubles games deciding the outcome.
Trafford A fought back strongly, but the decisive moment came when Dave and Linda secured victory in their doubles match, clinching a 3–2 win for Rochdale Milton.
As a result, Rochdale Milton advance to the third round of the Cup competition. Trafford A will now compete in the Plate rounds, alongside Trafford B and Rochdale Milnrow.
