The third round of the Pennine League took place in Rochdale under classic April conditions—showers, bursts of sunshine, and even spells of wind, rain, and hail. At times, the terrain made for challenging play, with boules splashing and coches occasionally floating, but as always, the games were contested with great spirit and determination.
Teams competing in this round were Huddersfield, Heckmondwike, Rochdale, and Trafford. Each matchup consisted of two triples and three doubles games.
