What a great day we had at Rochdale Pétanque for the Crimbo Limbo Melee!
A fantastic turnout of 29 players from Manchester, Wales, and Yorkshire joined us. Although it was a little chilly, the sun made an appearance and, thankfully, the rain stayed away.
Players were randomly selected into pairs or triples and competed over five rounds. The prize money and chocolates were awarded to those with the highest number of wins, plus points.
The games were well contested, hard fought, and played in great spirits, with plenty of fun throughout the day.
Of course, no event would be complete without food – Linda’s homemade sausage rolls and fantastic reindeer cakes, as well as mince pies and biscuits kept everyone well fuelled.
A huge thank you to Ian and Mike for organising and scoring, to Milnrow Cricket Club for the much-needed warm drinks, and to everyone who came along and made the day such a success.
Winners of the Day
1st Place: Sylvester – 5 out of 5 wins
2nd Place: Kevin – 4 wins +34
3rd Place: Claire – 4 wins +32
4th Place: Ian – 4 wins +27

Well done to you all!
Best wishes for the New Year, and we hope to see you all again in 2026!
