Rochdale Milnrow Through to Round 2
Today Rochdale Milnrow faced Trafford B in the first round of the Euro Cup Plate on what was a very wet day.
The match started with the triples, with both teams taking one win each to leave the score level at 1–1.
In the doubles, Trafford B looked to have taken a strong lead after winning the first game 13–5. Despite the scoreline, Barbara and Colin played some excellent boules. At that stage, the other two Rochdale teams were also trailing in the points.
Rochdale’s Debbie & Darren then produced an incredible comeback. Trailing 9–1, some great pointing helped them build momentum and they fought their way back to secure a fantastic 13–9 victory.
This brought the overall score to 2–2.
The final doubles game saw Paul & Gen play a hard-fought, nail-biting match that was amazing to watch. Boule for boule and shot for shot were evenly matched throughout, but Paul & Gen eventually edged ahead to take the win 13–9, securing the match for Rochdale Milnrow.

Rochdale Milnrow will now face either Mansfield 1 or Leicester in Round 2.
