<\/a>Today, members of Rochdale P\u00e9tanque Club travelled to Wales to take part in the Open Melee hosted by Llysfaen P\u00e9tanque Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weather may have been cold and wet, but the welcome and hospitality were wonderfully warm \u2014 and, of course, there was plenty of cake and flapjack to keep everyone going!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each participant played five rounds in either doubles or triples, partnering with different people on different pistes\u2026 well, apart from one of us who seemed glued to piste 6! \"\ud83d\ude09\" It was a great opportunity to meet new faces, catch up with those we haven\u2019t seen in a while and enjoy some friendly competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83e\udd48\" 2nd: John \u2013 Llysfaen (who, impressively, has only been playing for a few weeks!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83e\udd49\" 3rd: Johnny \u2013 Llysfaen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83c\udfc5\" 4th: Tom \u2013 Llysfaen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\ud83c\udfc5\" 5th: Eddie \u2013 Rochdale (our youngest entrant with three wins and a draw)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to all the winners, and well done to everyone who took part and thank you Llysfaen for the hospitality!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
