Trafford P\u00e9tanque hosted the final round of the Pennine League<\/strong> on Sunday 7th June 2026<\/strong>, bringing together teams from Huddersfield, Heckmondwike, Rochdale, and Trafford<\/strong> for an excellent day of competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each match consisted of two triples and three doubles<\/strong> games, with every team playing with determination, sportsmanship, and, as always, plenty of laughter along the way. The standard of play was high throughout the day, making for an enjoyable finale to the league season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations to Trafford P\u00e9tanque<\/strong>, who finished as Pennine League Champions<\/strong> and proudly lifted the Pennine League Trophy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A charity raffle was held during the event raised \u00a3100<\/strong>, which is being matched by the Urmston Lions Club<\/strong>, bringing the total donation to \u00a3200<\/strong> for Guide Dogs<\/strong>. A fantastic result for a very worthwhile cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, a big thank you to everyone involved in organising the Pennine League and to all the club members who took part throughout the competition. Your commitment, enthusiasm, and friendship are what make the league such a success year after year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heckmondwike: 8 wins – 20 points
Huddersfield: 2.5 wins – 5 Points<\/p>\n\n\n\n
