The second year of the Rochdale Cup organised by P\u00e8tanque North West, saw ten teams compete to take home the title and the cup for 2024 at Rochdale Milnrow Boulodrome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Competitors included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bamford BC – Rochdale
Healey Dell Boys – Rochdale
Last Of the Summer Wine – Rochdale P\u00e8tanque
Milton – Rochdale P\u00e8tanque
Rochdale – Rochdale P\u00e8tanque
Trafford
Huddersfield
Ripponden
And a collaboration team from GB Transplant\/ Huddersfield\/ Trafford and Croston<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning rounds consisted of teams playing 3 sets of doubles matches with winning teams going through to the next round and bottom 2 teams playing for the plate. Next came a round of singles, doubles and triples with the top 4 going through for the Bronze Silver and Gold placements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everybody that took part did so with great spirits and there were lots of laughs and banter, cheers of joy and roars of frustration as teams played off against each other to progress into the finals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of a long and exciting day it came down to the final four:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In <\/a>4th place was one of our home teams Rochdale P\u00e9tanque<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 3rd place taking the bronze medals was visitors from over the Yorkshire Border Huddersfield P\u00e9tanque Club<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2nd place taking silver was another home team Rochdale P\u00e8tanques Milton – This was a great achievement for the Milton team whose very first competition for most of its players, who had only been playing a few short weeks, was the Rochdale Cup 12 months ago and shows just how much they have progressed over the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And huge congratulations to Trafford Petanque<\/a> for winning 1st Place and taking the gold medals and the Rochdale Cup 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
